Current

Fibers,
flesh. Electricity

transudes through a
sigh.

Sun-bordered clouds migrate from
your eyes to my core:

swooshing of curtains, temples
like drums.

Hypnotic pulsations mark lines
between dreams

and life, as
time contracts in us.

And with the last loud blink
of a light bulb,

shadows withdraw,
and kaleidoscopes convulse.

You convey an experience so vividly and sharply I feel it in my bones.

Sensitive and sensual, this brief poem depicts vivid imagery more than it could say...I love the lines:
"Sun-bordered clouds migrate from
your eyes to my core". It is like an "I & Thou" encounter.

Anna, you've conveyed subtle feelings in a very concrete and touchable way. Very nicely done!

I like 'transudes'. "Hey, you wanna transude with me tonight?"

And I love it when the kaleidoscopes cunvulse. Happens to me all the time!

I'm being silly.

May the light in you shine long and bright.

thanks for your friendship.

I am new to your site. I love the angularity of this poem. I can nearly hear Thelonius Monk playing "Well You Needn't" in the background.

I will link to your site if you like.

Hmm, I tried posting a comment a few minutes ago, and when I clicked "publish", everything disappeared.

Briefly, I mentioned how I liked the angularity of this poem; that I could sense the presence of Thelonius Monk's "Well, You Needn't" in the background.

Thank you for your comments, finnegan! You can definitely link to my site, that would be really kind of you.

A smooth, slippery kind of impressionism. Interesting.

Perhaps you might like the site of "Anil" (Creative Obscurity). There is a link on the right hand side of my site (underneath "Poets"). You are invisted to stop by and check it out.
