Submerged by
liquid stillness,

we mute
the looping theme
of recollection.

Our mirrored strokes
each tingling residue
of turbulence.

Let go:

these pupils
aren't trapdoors.

For once in this glide,
innocence means
voiceless triumph,

and stainless gazes
trigger shifts
in luminescence.

OMG. Anna, I just read this and I will read it a few more times tonight.

Grazie mio poeta. :) This is a beautiful, beautiful poem which matches the metronome of my heart beat right this instant.

I love it.
Thank you for sharing.

Your concise construction and thrifty use of words created a tension until I became lost and being astray found my innocence and began again and I am more for this journey.
Lovely Anna, thank you.

"voiceless triumph" and "stainless gazes / trigger shifts" resonates with me tonight.

I'm back to re-read your poetry.

Thank you Anna for giving me strength. The way you put together words is SO inspiring! I knew that from day one. He-he. I've told you but I wanted to remind you.
